I know this is the Xsketch forum, but I'm looking for some friendly people to give me some hints and tips on playing Kdice, because to be honest, they are a little scary over there! :-) hehe
I'm awful at the moment, and haven't got above 400 points and frequently go back down to 0 points. Please help! |

at 2:07 PM, Wednesday July 23, 2008 EDT Hey tia i could give you some help if you want. I currently have 7.5K in kdice. There are some good strategy guides if you click on the strategy section in the Kdice forum. The XC one and wishbones are good.

On your first go, do you go for the connection straight away? When I do this I tend to get taken lots as I'm down to ones and twos. But if I try to stack up, I always seem to stay with only a few territories and end up at about 4th. |

at 7:10 PM, Wednesday July 23, 2008 EDT Well you want to connect right away but you have to be careful and see if other people are going to connect through you. Also you dont always want to spread yourself out and attack every possible territory you can becuase you will be left with only two and three stacks. Sometimes its best to connect to about 4 or 5 territories, build and then move out with your new bigger stacks.

at 5:41 PM, Thursday July 24, 2008 EDT Moneymango has some good advice, and I will help you too, even though my score may not be as impressive, I have loads of experience
Major things: -watch out for others, where they're going -keep your big stacks alive, move around smaller ones; they act as a buffer and you don't risk your big ones on a ridiculous defend. -They're as afraid of you as you are of them -remember, talk to other players. They're more comfortable around a friendly player -when ti comes down to a couple players all vyying for first, try to buy some time by allowing the other players to fight amongst themselves, instead of joining in. Sit back, take a few punches but build defense. Anything else, look in the forums or ask. Always glad to help. |

at 8:53 PM, Friday July 25, 2008 EDT Thanks Dizzle, I think thats probably one of the ways I'd been going wrong - not looking where others might want to connect. I'm getting a bit better - hit 500pts for the first time - yay! Just got to keep them now...
Dom - seems to affect the points score quite a bit, is it just based on the number of territories you have when you finish? |

at 6:18 PM, Sunday July 27, 2008 EDT Would it be weird if said im not sure what dom is? I think it has something to do with how often you attack and how many territories you have for a certian amount of turns.
Basically if you are small and are getting smaller or staying small you are losing dom and if you are big and getting bigger you are gaining dom. |
