Friends = banned!

Apparently you can't play with someone you know, or you'll get banned for cheating.
Well, at least this was the case today when I (Trigun472) was banned while playing with Blixx. After getting a few good guesses, Quickcut banned us. I actually thought we were over the accusations after the first time he brought to our attention that he was weary of us. Yet he still decided that we must cheating if we could guess each others drawings. Nevermind that I've been playing the last two weeks alone in the 1,500 point table, and accumulated 10k (I know that's not a lot here, but still, it was an accomplishment to me). 2 nights of playing in a low table, and doing pretty well was enough to decide we must be cheating. Something I thought was funny is that: If we were cheating, why wouldn't we go to the higher tables? We obviously weren't playing for points, or we would have been cheating in at least the 200s group. Instead we stayed at the lowest table, mostly because it had the most people, but occasionally it'd just be us playing between ourselves for 4 points a turn. Hell, we didn't even always guess correctly when it was just us two. When I want points, I play earlier in the day, at the higher tables. Besides, it's not like we tried to hide that we knew eachother. We told everyone the first night I invited Blixx to play with me that we were friends. Still, after one of us guessed something when only a few lines were drawn with no hint, we were kicked out. We were told "you were even laughing afterwards about cheating". If we were laughing, it was because the other one managed to guess something so quickly. How could you even come to the conclusion we were laughing about 'cheating'? We were never even told what drawing it was, and Quickcut logged off to go to sleep immediately after. That's fine if no one wants to unban us, but take a little more time before deciding to kick someone off. At least play with them, so you can see that it's possible to guess well on ANYBODIES sketch. 10,000k table, it's pretty damn often that a few lines are drawn and someone will get the answer, and I know you know that. Thanks. |

at 4:49 AM, Sunday May 17, 2009 EDT I just saw the explanation left on our accounts.
"Trigun472: lol I promise, we're being honest Blixx: yeah we are he wouldnt let me cheat when we first came in haha had long conversation with players about cheating as they both were, this is response when i left table, they were texting, cheating would not move up and really play" We were laughing because you still wouldn't believe us. Even after the chat was over when we were left with something like "and I stress, honest....". Then Blixx made a joke (Blixx btw, not Blinx, Quickcut). Once again, like I told you, we didn't move up because there was no body else in the 200 table when we came in! I was playing with Blixx, I wasn't going to leave to the 10k table with G! and the other two and leave her by herself. Way to use your head and jump the gun dude. |

at 4:57 AM, Sunday May 17, 2009 EDT Apparently, drawing a distinct popes hat shouldn't lead my first guess to be pope. Afterall a popes hat clearly looks like many other things. Perhaps I should have guessed a fish in a popes hat?
He accused us right off the bat, saying we were cheating and honestly if we were, I would have had more points. Trigun has been in the hospital these past fews days which he has to do quite frequently, so at a way to help waste time we play the games. I even asked if it was okay for us to play in the room together or would we be accused of cheating again. Apparently he lied to us about that. He also mentioned for us to move into a higher table, which Trigun said we would once I got a few more points of playing, if I WAS playing for points you'd think I'd be in the higher tables right away. |
