at 5:30 AM, Wednesday November 4, 2009 EST Wow, this is incredible. I've come to realize that Isaac Asimov's short story, "Nightfall" might probably be based on the Carrington Event inverted. Although the planet, Lakash in the story does not exist and is merely just a made up name, the inhabitants who have never seen the dark before, has had the reaction of the inhabitants of Earth, when we first witnessed the Carrington Event.
Also, I find it very interesting that the economy changes with it even though there is nothing that can be done to stop it from happening. If it happens to the whole world, then what does politics have to do with it if all is the same? |
