It's taking all the fun out of the game. I have played with a table full of people who just spelled everything out. Fish Umbrella Cat Kill that!
I don't think it should even be used as a last resort: if you can't sketch it, or the guessers are not bright enough for you, deal with it, pass or lose the points. Just please play by the rules, which should include "no symbols for individual letters". Say no to hieroglyphics. For the sake of global warming. your friendly warn-button loving sketcher |

at 11:17 AM, Saturday June 5, 2010 EDT I agree completely and have been saying this for a while... I recently used the catchy slogan "either draw it or skip it and that, aight?" as my avatar. Using glyphs is exactly the same as writing the word as far as I am concerned, just with an alphabet made up of different characters.
I don't approve of "dashes" being used excessively but wouldn't warn as long as there is an attempt to draw. Like Buaka, I don't approve of said "joining" of similar letters. |

Drawing = fun watching a poor draw = boring guessing = boring hieroglyphics = no poor draw and less guessing So i cant complain if someone else wants to waste their turn with hieroglyphics. It makes it go faster I guess. |
