Post the Rules

So, I am pretty sure that it has been established that everyone is allowed to write the First Letter of the First Word only and then also to draw the number of letters, as dashes.
If we are all agreed on this fact, it really should be posted on the xsketch game screen somewhere. It really doesn't take up much room and it would REALLY REALLY REALLY help the new kids to not feel leftout if they didn't read the rules ahead of time. It happens >>>all the time<<<< and usually they learn their first draw by being warned. Most are fine with it, but some people do get very upset. We could avoid that situation. MY 2 cents |

at 6:35 AM, Sunday December 4, 2011 EST I agree that happens a lot, and we're lucky when a 'noob' actually listens to us explain the rules. The actual rules page is outdated, and don't count on that being fixed for some time but a lot of people have contributed to making it easier to explain the rules for new players.
So, once you have somebody's attention, send them this link: http://xsketch.com/blog/87 should help :) |

But I really think there should be a 5 sentence summary. Like this maybe: CLICK SIT IN TRY TO DRAW FIRST WRITE THE FIRST LETTER OF THE FIRST WORD ONLY DRAW DASHES TO SHOW THE NUMBER OF LETTERS NO NUMBERS or SYMBOLS or ANY OTHER WRITING ALLOWED DO NOT GUESS ON DRAWS THAT BREAK ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES THANKS SO MUCH! HAVE FUN! |

at 5:30 AM, Wednesday December 7, 2011 EST Yeah, the first word I ever got was "isle," I drew a bunch of isles in a grocery store, and tried to make a sign that said "Grocery store," I got warned, and learned how to play. I don't think I've ever been warned enough times to get passed on since then... maybe once or twice, but that was prolly just because I was half-asleep on a monday...
