A higher ante and a non-zero-sum model

If you get nine people to sit at a table starting at zero, it just takes too long to build up to the higher tables. When you're winning 16 points for a guess it's going to take ages.
If that group of nine people sits at the table with 100 points each, there is no way that there will ever be more than 900 points at that table unless one or more players goes down to, and stays at, 0 points. This would not be such a bad thing if it weren't so easy to stay above zero. Maybe if the ante were higher this problem would go away? |
