at 7:17 PM, Wednesday June 4, 2008 EDT 2 Sophalis i dont see anything wrong with car related words. Its reasonable to assume that any English speaking person will know what they are. But "four door hatchback" should definitely be out ... hatchback is enough.
Some other words i think should be removed are brand names these can be unknown to people if they are in the wrong country. like: "right guard" there are lots of baby related product brands.(i will post them when i see them) another word that i think should be taken out: "body double" |

at 7:23 PM, Wednesday June 4, 2008 EDT I agree with Discoveria there is nothing wrong with having obscure country names. I guessed Ukraine right once. Just because YOU dont know a word its not a good enough reason to take out a word.

at 9:13 PM, Wednesday June 4, 2008 EDT actually a lot of words are new to people who do not speak english as a first language and its a great way to learn. but for some of us who speak it since day one we see new ways to look at words but things like - 'syrup pizza' - it doesn't exist and is a stupid 'word' but things like aliens.... whether or not they exist you can get the idea across to anyone from any country.
'fate'.... has anyone guessed it without cheating???? seems an impossible one to do and i even drew 'court stenographer' and someone got it :P |
