slitheen; as far as I am aware the only use for this word is to describe an alien species which cropped up in 3 maybe 4 episodes of the British TV show Dr. Who - surely this is far too niche.
toilet with flower pattern; surely phrases that are accepted should be at least reasonably popular / well known phrases. This just seems like a random collection of words to me. |

at 3:45 PM, Monday January 18, 2010 EST I wouldn't put it here if people didn't go "wtf was that?!" and I just thought that, if other words like fungus fighter is going to be taken out, same goes to evil marshmallow. However, we still accepts mature criticism.

at 4:33 PM, Monday January 18, 2010 EST It is a matter of do we want to have a list of "real" words, a list of anything's possible words, or a mixture of both?
Yes, some are fun to draw... but, they are not real words. I think it is hard for newbies to get words correct that are not even words... of course, players that have been around for awhile are going to get them correct from seeing them continuously. It definitely gives regular players an advantage. In my humble opinion... I enjoy the mixture of both... to an extent... I do not believe we should have to draw or guess fifty different saying about skinny/fat men/woman with no right/left legs/arms... nor should we have to draw words or sayings that take more time than we are given to give the guessers enough to guess on. Also, I don't like seeing words that give our more 'immature' players good reason to draw genitalia and such. We have to put up with enough of that without giving them cause to draw it. Just my opinion.... what's yours? |

at 6:15 PM, Monday January 18, 2010 EST I find evil marshmallow is fun, so is fighting fungus and few others. No one said anything about that? I just thought if we want to put a fun word back in, we should put other fun words back in too.

at 7:25 PM, Monday January 18, 2010 EST You're welcome, Holly!
I agree, I don't mind either evil marshmallow or fungus fighter... but, like you, I add them to my ongoing list when people at the tables seem to think the word should be eliminated. I don't always agree with what those players think should go... but, I don't think I should be the one making that decision alone, so I post them here and let everyone give their opinions. More than anything.... I just want everyone to have fun here! =o) |

at 11:16 AM, Wednesday January 20, 2010 EST Seems the question of "if its easy to draw should it stay in" is coming up. In my opinion a random verb joined with a random noun does not make for a good game - easy to draw or not.
I don't think the game should descend into who can guess the most unlikely things imaginable or the particular word that has been chosen from many with similar meanings. |
