It is my belief that if you flag (say in 2nd) you are basically saying hey i wont take your place away from you. HOWEVER you are not saying that you are gonna give up your dom points. if i flag 2nd i still have the right to attack anybody who is not flagged or any neutrals. Not to say that i will attack weaker players for fun or to be a dick. i will however kill players that say have one or 2 small territories or players who don't stand a chance of getting a higher place. Now should i grow larger then first and start stealing his dom, i dont believe that it is within 1st rights, assuming he/she has accepted my flag, to attack me for the sake of dom. i did not flag my dom to you i flagged my place to you. so i will now make it policy to revolt against the first place player who attacks flagged players for the sake of dom.
adendum. This is not to say that 1st can never attack a flag after the flag is accepted. for example if first is blocked in from the rest of the map and there is another unflagged player who might threaten the lead of 1st. there are other valid reason to attack a flagged player |
